E
n o t r i a . Land of wine. Vineyards where the roots of the
vines delve deep into the tufa soil. Nourishing earthy elements,
vital substances created and allowed to rest for milleniums
to await the call of the sun to flow into the sap of the vine-branches
and reach the clusters, where each bluish grape is hard and
fully swollen.
Constant care, the woleness of the summer sun, the light of
the first autumnal mists, hands wary in the harvesting of
the fruit, hearts beating to the magic rites, the “tumultuosa”.
F o u r, six hands tighten the wine press to squeeze with
discernment the body of the grapes.
This is the Barbera wine of Cascina Carpeneta.
A superb Barbera.
